Today I am so excited to share all my tips and tricks to looking the best in your brand photos!

 

 

 

Whether I am coming to your local business to capture your team photos, or you’re coming to our studio for headshots, you’ll want to read all the information below to make sure you look and feel your best in your brand photos!

One thing people don’t realize very often is this: you’re going to see your brand photos ALL THE TIME. You want to make sure the colors you choose to wear and accessorize with will complement your brand colors and all the brand imagery you’ll be posting.

 

“How do I know what outfit to wear?”

You’re going to want to make sure that you choose outfits that you feel confident and comfortable in!

Choose outfits you love that give off the vibe you want your brand photos to have.

 

Here are a few examples of our favorite outfits:

For clean chic vibes– a flowy blouse with skinny pants and pumps gives off upscale, luxe vibes.
Laid back, relaxed vibes– comfy jeans paired with a cute neutral shirt, and simple flats is a great outfit choice.
Edgy vibes– blank skinny jeans with a nice textured black(or grey) blouse and boots is an outfit that gives chic but edgy vibes.

 

The key to making sure your outfit isn’t too bland is to add multiple layers and textures.

Trust me this will make your brand photos come to life!

Our faves: a neutral chunky sweater, a statement necklace, or a long, flowy dress paired with a belt.

 

“How should I wear my hair?”

Typically the best way to wear your hair is cute and styled like you would for date night.

If you want a cute accessory, add a textured headband.

 

 

Don’t forget about your nails!

Make sure you don’t have chipped or loud nail polish.

They can cause a distraction and take the attention away from the main subject of the photo- you and your brand!

Neutral polish or natural nails is the best way to go for your brand session to ensure you stand out in all the right ways.

 

 

 

“How should I do my makeup?”

Do your makeup a little heavier than your everyday style.

You’ll want to stay away from harsh/unnatural colors.

The best lip colors are berries, corals, reds and pinks.

The best eye makeup colors to wear are grey, black, and deeper jewel tones.

Remember to finish off your makeup with finishing powder to eliminate shine.
