Then vs. Now | Brand Photographer Florida | Ashley Morse Commercial
When I first began, I honestly had no clue how hard being an entrepreneur and having a professional photography business was.
I never thought I would end up as a Professional Brand Photographer in Florida.
I started by charging $50 and shooting family sessions for my friends and family members.
As I learned more technical and professional skills, my confidence grew.
I started to believe that I could do it.
My husband was an active-duty soldier in the US Army, so we moved every few years.
When my business moved states, it was hard for me to build another client base…but I learned all about SEO and how to get clients to find you online.
Which turned out to be a huge part of my business, as most of my portrait clients were from out of state and visiting.
I began capturing family and wedding portraits and loved it so much.
In 2022, I began experiencing an unknown chronic illness.
I had to pivot my business and began shooting brand photography full-time.
It was so scary but I persevered.
I have learned so much about off-camera lighting, difficult situations, and navigating entrepreneurship.
When I first started, I had no clue about what a CRM or workflow was.
Now, I have a client workflow that is so seamless and amazing.
Every single client has the same amazing client experience.
I book my clients with the most beautiful proposals and easy-to-use forms in my CRM (Dubsado) and they all have their own custom client portal where they can access all our communications, forms, and invoices in one place.
I now know that just posting your content isn’t enough.
I need to post strategic content to get the results I want and grow my business.
I know myself so much more than I used to.
I now know that mindset is such a huge part of being happy and can be the difference between failing and succeeding.
Confidence is a muscle that you have to strengthen.

I feel like then vs. now is such a monumental difference (personally and professionally) and I am so thankful that I kept going!
