My Favorite Childhood Memory | FL Commercial Brand Photographer

As a FL commercial brand photographer, I get to meet the sweetest business owners.

After my latest FL brand session, as I was packing up my stuff, we were chatting and one of my brand clients asked me a question and it got me thinking.

She said, “what is your favorite childhood memory?”

 

My favorite childhood memory is going up to my family cabin and exploring.

Our family cabin is up in the mountains.

My poppa is a civil engineer and he designed the cabin himself and built it mostly himself.

 

During the summer, we would go up and take our red canoe out fishing for trout on the lake.

It was so beautiful on the lake surrounded by the huge tall trees.

The reflection of the trees on the lake was one of my favorite things to see.

Our cabin is just down the road from the lake, and you can see it from the dining table.

 

We would bring our fish back and my nana would clean them and fry them for dinner.

Everyone would sit at the big dining table and eat dinner together.

We were always tuckered out by the end of the day because there was always something to do.

We’d go exploring out in the woods, capture little toads, ride our bikes around the lake, go to the beach, and swim in the lake.

 

You’d always be woken up to the sound of people laughing and chatting and the smell of breakfast cooking.

Once we ate breakfast and got dressed, we’d be heading out for our adventures.

There was a meadow that had a bridge and a little stream where we would fish from too.

That meadow had so many beautiful wildflowers and I remember feeling like it was the most serene, beautiful place in the entire world.

My favorite childhood memory is the quality time I spent with my family in our family cabin up in the mountains.

Over the years, as my daughters grew, they grew to love our family cabin just as much as I do.
