What do you want people to know about your small business?
Your team: If you’re a solopreneur or have a team, you’ll want to get photos to capture the folks that make your business possible.
Your store: If you have a storefront or you have an in-home business setup- you’ll want it captured. (Don’t feel like just because your setup is in your home it isn’t worth capturing- it’s an important part of your business and customers love to see the BTS and where the magic is created!)
Your story: Why did you begin your business in the first place? Was it to be a more present mom- maybe include your kids in one shot so you can showcase how important your family life is to you. Did you start your business so you can go to the beach as much as possible? Maybe you’ll want to get a photo of you on the beach reading and relaxing- to show you value a slower-paced life.
What products/services do you want to showcase?
Do you have new products or seasonal offers? What makes them special?
You’ll want to make sure those things are captured at your brand shoot.
If you offer services, you can get photos of you in the middle of performing the service, planning + prepping for the service, and interacting with your clients.
For service-based businesses, I always recommend writing out your entire workflow and then seeing what steps you’ll want captured to showcase your services best!
