Shannon and Scott | Relaxed Fort Walton Beach Wedding | The Island

Shannon and Scott | Relaxed Fort Walton Beach Wedding | The Island Resort

I first met Shannon and Scott at a local coffee shop, Maas Roasters, for their consultation.

They told me all about what they were envisioning for their relaxed Fort Walton beach wedding.

I instantly knew they were the sweetest most laid back couple.

They’re so easy to get along with.

The coffee was fabulous too.

Their wedding took place right after quarantine was over.

The entire world was such a confusing and scary time, especially for everyone in the wedding industry (couples planning their wedding included).

Shannon and Scott were so gracious and understanding.

Honestly, it was exactly what I needed during that time.

It was my first wedding incorporating all my new off camera flash knowledge and I was so excited to add that into my workflow.

Their first look was the sweetest.

Scott absolutely adores Shannon and was in awe of her beauty.

They laughed and kissed before we had to whisk the bride into hiding so the ceremony could begin.

They said their ‘I do’s’ in front of their close friends and family on the green space at The Island Resort.

My sweet friend Brooke is the head of all things weddings and she’s just the sweetest.

There were beachgoers flying a kite and I loved how it was caught in one of the portraits.

During the ceremony, they each took a moment to put their vows into a memory box.

All through their day, Scott and Shannon laughed with each other and just enjoyed their day together.

It was the best.

Around sunset time, I whisked them away for bride and groom portraits.

They laughed and joked the entire time.

When we got back to the reception, everyone was dancing and  having the best time.

The real MVP of the dance floor was Scott’s Aunt. She was getting down!

Shannon and Scott wanted a relaxed Fort Walton Beach Wedding, and that’s exactly what they had.

They chose to enjoy their portraits in an heirloom album and a framed canvas with a barnwood frame.

Scott and Shannon’s wedding day was everything you can hope for.

A day full of Florida sunshine, a romantic sea breeze and pure joy.

The most perfect relaxed Fort Walton Beach Wedding.
